  • Yechel Gagnon Walpole

    July 29 – September 2, 2017
The Barn at 28 Main, Walpole, NH

Yechel Gagnon’s close engagement with the innate qualities of her media serve as the foundation for her work: plywood bas-reliefs, embossed prints, frottage drawings, cast-aluminum works and large-scale architectural installations. Working in mixed-media allows her to nurture a fluid, dialogical process, where she employs tools and techniques devised for unfolding, layering and unearthing imagery from the materials at hand. The resulting pieces allude to worlds of dissonant tension and balance, of emptiness aside human presence, and of the natural with the artificial.
