WIND, WAVES, & LIGHT
April 28 – November 3, 2018
Reimans Gardens, Iowa State University, Ames, IAWind, Waves and Light will feature 13 kinetic sculptures designed to explore space, time, and the dynamic relationship of objects in motion. The choreography of each piece is governed by a set of basic movements, facilitated by an arrangement of aerodynamic surfaces connected by rotational points. The sculptures are made of stainless steel, and the reflective qualities integrate each sculpture into its environment. Wind speed and direction, shades of light, time of day, precipitation, and seasonal color transform the qualities of light and movement of the sculptures.

CONVERGENCE
GEORGE SHERWOOD
May 1 – October 31, 2013
Christian Science Plaza, Boston, MAThe Boston Sculptors Gallery and The First Church of Christ, Scientist organized an outdoor exhibition of monumental, site-specific artworks. In a convergence of imagination and civic pride, over two dozen art installations from Boston Sculptors Gallery members were on display. Wave Cloud is suggestive of a floating body of water. It is comprised of thousands of stainless steel elements woven into a grid. Each element ripples in the wind and together create ever-changing wavelike patterns. Shades of light, time of day, precipitation and seasonal color transform the qualities of the light and movement.
